Structure of the conference
The different sharing sessions are planned to be informative, interactive as well as practical. Demonstrations will be used to bring to life information which will be shared through keynote speeches, panel discussions and presentations. Plenary discussions will form a key part of every session for purposes of building consensus among participants particularly on the next steps.
Expected Participants
The CHF conference gets bigger every year. From 160 participants last year, at least 200 participants are targeted for the 3 rd conference. These will include policy makers, development partners, central and local government leaders, CHF schemes promoters, community health insurance beneficiaries, academia, private companies, healthcare providers, civil society, and the general public.
Expected outcomes
The conference is expected to provide practical answers to policy makers and other stakeholders on the most feasible approaches for reaching the informal sector to enrol in the proposed NHIS and other social protection initiatives. It will allay fears on promotion, enrolling, managing data and demands of the masses when the NHIS is introduced.
